A Bit More Detailed Information |
|
Most topics are a two page (one page, front and back) presentation of the core material - written on a sixth grade level, in sixth grade language. Each topic is arranged into four sections:
Did you know? - Make a connection to prior knowledge and create a sense of interest. So, why is this important to me? - This is obvious. What are the big ideas I need to know? - Here is the actual content. This is the bulk of BrishLab document. What about? - An extension to the learning and a place to dump anything not covered. This is the last section on the back of this document. If using a computer, students highlight key words while silently reading the material. Once finished, they can print out the pages and listen with a highlighter in hand to pick up the items they may have missed. |

Because audio vocabulary is advanced of written vocabulary, students understand more when the book is presented orally. Left click and the book will be read to you. Right click on the file and save the file to your mp3 player. |
